Start a game without setup
Board Duel gives you a clear, full 8 × 8 chess board from the first move. Choose Chess to play a quick local game with White and Black on the same device, then use the online lobby when you want to send a direct challenge.
Chess rules that matter
The game validates legal movement and protects the king. It supports castling, en passant, and promotion, so an opening, tactical exchange or endgame can play out naturally.
- Checkmate ends the game when the checked player has no legal response.
- Stalemate and the 50-move rule produce a draw when the position cannot be won by force.
- Promote a pawn to a queen, rook, bishop or knight when it reaches the final rank.
Practice locally, then play for rating
Local games are the fastest way to test ideas or play a friend at the same screen. Online matches add direct challenges and separate Chess Elo ratings, so your leaderboard position reflects completed games.
