What we collect
Local same-device games run in your browser or app session and are not uploaded. When you choose online multiplayer and sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication processes your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile image. Board Duel stores the board name you choose, Chess and Checkers ratings, wins, losses, draws, challenges, match state, moves and online presence.
We do not include advertising SDKs, sell personal information or use your game data for targeted advertising. We do not currently use a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Google and Firebase may process limited technical information such as IP address, device information and service logs to operate and secure their services.
How we use information
- Authenticate your account and keep your profile available across devices.
- Connect players, validate moves on the server and restore active matches.
- Calculate Elo ratings and display public board names and results on leaderboards.
- Prevent abuse, protect service reliability and diagnose technical failures.
Sharing and service providers
Online features use Google Firebase services, including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Functions. Data is shared with these processors only as needed to provide and secure the game. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.
Retention and security
Online profile and game data is retained while your account exists. Connections use HTTPS, direct database writes are restricted by security rules, and online moves are checked by server-side functions. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Delete your account and data
In Chess Duel, open Multiplayer, find Account & privacy, and choose Delete account. After confirmation, the service permanently deletes your Board Duel profile, handles, leaderboard entries, invites, matches, moves, presence and Firebase Authentication account. This cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the app, email geos.media.mt@gmail.com from the Google address connected to your account and request deletion. We may ask you to verify ownership before deleting data.
Children's privacy
Chess Duel is a general-audience strategy game and is not directed specifically to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and remove it.
